Makayla Pendlton, Veterinarian

A veterinarian is a person who helps animals. Their job duties include surgery on animals, putting animals to ''sleep'' and taking care of animals. In order to be a veterinarian one must be educated  and experienced. In addition, one must also take and pass the North American Veterinary license Exam and get a state license to practice.

To be a veterinarian one must go to school to study biology, zoology, and animal science. He or she will learn how to take care of animals and about the stuff they need to do the job. It usually takes 4 years to become a veterinarian.

After someone receives training to become a veterinarian, they must take and pass a state test. Some companies that hires veterinarians include vet clinics, zoos or you could be self-employed. A person who is starting off in the field can expect to earn $93,250 per year.

In conclusion, I'm very excited to become a veterinarian when I get older. Some benefits of being a veterinarian is that you get a lot of money and you get to see a lot of animals. On the other hand, some disadvantages are getting to see animals suffer, having to kill them, also, having to talk to the pet owner about their animal and what you had to do to the animal.
