Multimedia Artist/Animator by Brenda

An animator is a person who creates forms of media. Their job duties include animating, creating video games, movies, visual effects, and anime. In order to be an animator, one must be creative, and artistic. In addition, one must also have communication skills, time-management skills, and computer skills.
To become an animator, one must go to school to learn about computer graphics and arts. He or she will learn about making animations, and other strong technical skills employers prefer. It usually takes 4 years to become a multimedia artist/animator.
After someone receives training to become an animator, they need a strong portfolio of work. Some companies that hire animators include Funimation, Aniplex, and Cartoon Network. A person who is starting off in the field can expect to earn $61,370 per year.

Some benefits of being an animator are sick leave, paid vacation, and time off between jobs. On the other hand, some disadvantages are having lots of work hours. Overall, I think I would like to be a multimedia artist/animator.
