A pediatrician is a person who helps kids be healthy or stay healthy. There job duties include keeping kids healthy, and making sure sick kids get better. In order to be a pediatrician one must be able put both child and parent at ease, and be able to problem solve. In addition, one must also be able to communicate.
To become a pediatrician one must go to school to study medicine. He or she will learn about to preform procedures, how to help kids be healthy, and how to diagnose. It usually takes 9 years to become a pediatrician.
After someone receives training to become a pediatrician they do there residency, and pass and exam. Some companies that hire pediatricians include hospitals, and doctors offices. A person who is starting off in the field can expect to earn 135,000 dollars per year.
In conclusion, this job sounds very complicated but fun. Some benefits of being a pediatrician are the salary, working with children, and more. On the other hand, some disadvantages are how long you have to be in school, getting sick, and seeing kids sick. Overall, I think I would like to be a pediatrician because it sounds fun but complicated.
